US live servers will be brought offline on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at approximately 7:00AM PST, for an estimated one hour of downtime. EverQuest II is kicking off 2015 with a 150% bonus XP weekend! Beginning Friday, Jan 9 at 12:00 noon PST until Sunday, Jan. 11 at 11:59pm PST, All Access Members will receive 150% bonus Adventure and Tradeskill experience ! Time to get out those alts and level up!

Next week sometime Heroic Characters - characters which players may purchase pre-leveled to join in current content - will be updated to reflect game changes since they were introduced. Purchased Level 90 Heroic Characters will come with Level 90 (Adventure only), 320AAs, a full set of gear, food/drink, ammo, potions (as appropriate) and a mount with stats! New Heroic Characters will also start in Eidolon Jungle with content in our Chains of Eternity expansion. Level 90 Trial characters will come with Level 90, 280AAs, gear, food/drink, ammo, potions (as appropriate) and a mount and be restricted to leveling up to level 91 (Adventure) with restrictions on trading, etc. These characters will also start in Eidolon Jungle. All players who purchased a level 85 Heroic Character that is still less than 90 or less than 320AA will receive a no-trade level 90 Heroic Character bauble they can choose to use. UPDATE: The start of Frostfell has been delayed .  SOE hopes to have it live around noon, Pacific. The season of giving and cheer has arrived in EverQuest II ! Frostfell will begin on Thursday, December 11. This year Frostfell introduces one new quest , The Great Candy (Cane) Chase , in which players are challenged to collect E'ci cubes around Frostfell Wonderland Village. Pick them up in order while being helped or hindered by presents! This new game can be repeated every 18 hours. Players with extra"gifties"from the Gigglegibber Gifty Storehouse can exchange them for Frozen Tokens of E'ci on the Enchanted Lands dock. Santa Glug can be found with his bag of goodies inside the Frostfell Wonderland Village for players to receive their daily presents . There are of course new recipe books , and if you didn't get them last year you can still obtain  Permanent Frostfell Crafting Stations !
