Both US and EU s ervers will come down on October 28, 2014 at 7am PT (2pm BST) for an update. Expected downtime for both sets of servers is two hours. Here is the patch note: GENERAL Beta mounts should no longer spam a failure when zoning if you are below level 95.

The City Festival Starts Tonight! [EverQuest II]

With all the excitement of Nights of the Dead and Altar of Malice beta it'd be easy to forget that November 1st will bring us the Freeport City Festival ! The festival is planned to start on November 1st at 12:01am PDT and run until November 7th at 11:59pm PST. You can find the Far Seas Caravan in the Commonlands between the Crossroads and the Freeport Griffon Tower. An Aether Race will also be available in Commonlands during the festival. Participate and achieve a time of 119 seconds or less to earn the Portal Jumper prefix title! Begin the race by speaking to the referee near the docks.

US servers will be brought offline on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at approximately 7:00AM PDT, with an estimated downtime of one hour. EU servers will be brought offline at approximately 5:00AM London Time on October 22. Estimated downtime is 2 hours. IMPORTANT NOTE: SOE has also announced a two hour downtime for all their systems starting at 5:00am PDT on the same day. Patch notes are available after the jump. GENERAL All Access members can now send and receive mail attachments from almost anywhere. Added an option to default applying Adornments to manual selection. You can find this option under User Interface - Game Options - Manually Select Items to Adorn. Rewards earned in the Altar of Malice Beta may now be obtained via /claim. TRADESKILLS Grandmaster recipe for Winds of Velious IV now requires the correct master component. Corrected several issues with Conjuror Grandmaster recipes above level 80.
