All U.S. servers will come down on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 7am PST for a hotfix. The expected downtime is one hour. Here is the patch note : QUESTS Public Quests Cloudy Velium Jewels should now be heirloom.

Brewday kicks off on March 8th and your faithful ZAM staff has been working hard to bring you all the help you need. While drunkenly stumbling through Norrath we assisted Tellar Blackswell and Steinsister Daglara for this year's new quests . In the Butcherblock Mountains the pesky goblins trying to ruin the locals Brewday festivities were gleefully knocked over by carpets made of clovers. The event also features a new crafting scroll: Brewday Accoutrements to Craft III . Back by popular demand we also offer you our updated Brewday Quest Tracker ! Happy drinking!

Guk Event in Honor of Ribbitribbitt [EverQuest II]

As we reported Wednesday, the EQ2 community has rallied around a child with terminal cancer after his mother appealed for decorators to flesh-out his EQ2 playground. As we report this hundreds of players, including the much-admired Domino , are on Guk leveling up a guild to give to Ribbitribbitt. What started out as a grass-roots effort to entertain a child has turned into a huge event, and all EQII players are invited to join the Guk server on Saturday to celebrate Ribbitribbitt, transport all the presents to his Tenebrus Island home, and decorate. A Scrapbook for Ribbitribbitt [EverQuest II]

The community we have on EverQuest II never ceases to amaze me. We have our differences in many ways and we have our good times and bad. Shortly after the initial forum post by Ribbitribbitt's mother, just a mere four days ago, many in the community put all of that aside and banded together for a greater cause. Raiders, decorators, soloers and crafters worked side-by-side to create beautifully decorated homes for a special child to play in. Earlier today their work was completed and Ribbitribbitt's party went off wonderfully. It took 65 hours for the hard-working members of Lillipad Jungle on the Guk server to level the guild to 70 so that they could obtain a Tier 3 hall for Ribbitribbitt. They continued to work throughout the day to bring it to 77 so that they could add a pirate ship to the hall and reached that goal as well. Emily"Domino"Taylor, beloved Associate Producer of EverQuest II, announced on Facebook today that she's leaving EQII. "... today is my last day on the EQ2 team and it's been nothing but the best times, the best of co-workers, and the best of players, all of whom I'll miss ridiculously much,"she posted. Emily is best known for being the Tradeskill Developer who took Norrathian tradeskills from a harvesting and creation grind to a playstyle filled with lore, quests, and rich rewards. She made no mention of what she'll be doing next. SOE Announced a new EverQuest II Producer, Holly"Windstalker"Longsdale, earlier this month .

SOE will be performing maintenance beginning at 2:30 AM Pacific on February 28, 2012. This will impact the following services: Account management will be unavailable starting at 2:30 AM to approximately 8:00 AM Pacific. Commerce transactions, including purchases on our websites and in-game marketplaces will be unavailable between 2:30 AM to approximately 8:00 AM Pacific. Forums will be read-only starting at 2:30 AM to approximately 7:00 AM Pacific. Login for our games will be affected from 2:30 AM to 7:00 AM Pacific (players already logged in should not be impacted. While there's been no announcement, hotfix notes have been published for Tuesday, February 28. There is also an extended SOE Maintenance Tuesday which may affect services starting at 2:30am PST to approximately 8:00am PST. Here's the patch notes: GENERAL The beastlord bar will now use the tooltip delay for hotbars rather than the default tooltip delay. ZONE PROGRESSION / POPULATION Vallon’s Tower [Non-Challenge] Normal Mode Vallon Zek should now drop 2 breastplate patterns. Sullon’s Spire [Non-Challenge] Normal Mode Hragdold the Frenzied should now also drop 2 bracer patterns.

She sketches out what's going on with upcoming content, features, and fixes, and promises more details soon. She offered no new information on the SOE/ProSiebenSat.1 arrangements. SOE Sunsets Four Game Services [EverQuest Online Adventures]

Sony Online Entertainment announced today on the EverQuest Online Adventures website that it is closing four of its game services: EQOA , Cosmic Rift , Infantry , and Star Chamber: The Harbinger Saga . These games will close for good on March 29, 2012 . EQOA players will be granted 3 months of Gold Membership in both EverQuest and EverQuest II . These gold memberships will be available starting on Friday, March 16, 2012. You can find out more about the end of EQOA in the official EQOA Closure FAQ .
