Japan Relief Effort Items Back in Marketplace [EverQuest II]

Players can once again donate to the relief effort in Japan through the Marketplace! The Memory of Spring statue returned early this afternoon, which is available for 500 Station Cash. A new item appeared alongside it, the Gift of Falling Blossoms , which costs 200 Station Cash. For each of these items purchased between March 25th and March 28th, SOE will donate $10 to the American Red Cross. To purchase either item, go into the Marketplace in game (by using the /marketplace command or the EQII game menu) and choose the"Japan Relief Effort"category. The items are not lore so you can purchase multiples if you are so inclined.

The monthly live event Moonlight Enchantments has begun! The event is started on March 20th at 12:01am PDT and will end on March 21st at 11:59pm PDT. These times apply directly with no time conversion to all servers. Qho's Brewday Adventures! [EverQuest II]

Many adventurers and crafters have had the misfortune of crossing Qho Augren's path while working on the Gathering Obsession series. The infamous brat of Mara nagged us to bring him back more and more harvests every time we returned to him. Yet we put up with his nagging just so we could earn the Cloak of the Harvester, and once that was obtained, we hoped to never lay our eyes on him again. However, in Destiny of Velious he worms his way back into our lives. Any level 90 crafter who had assisted him in the past receives a letter in the mail from him begging for us to pay him a visit. With much chagrin many of us returned to Qho, who is still swimming in the pond at the Village of Shin, only to be once again sent out to get him even more harvests. All U.S. servers will come down for a hotfix at 7am PDT on Tuesday, March 22, 2011. The expected downtime is one hour. The Splitpaw server will have their hotfix at 4am London Time on Wednesday, March 23, 2011. Estimated downtime is 2 hours. The full patch notes are available after the hop. Tomorrow will introduce a Chronoportal event to commemorate Norrath's past. Patch notes for March 23rd are listed below. All U.S. servers will go down at 7am PDT for a 1 hour hotfix. The Splitpaw server will go down on March 24th at 4am London Time for a 2 hour hotfix. LIVE EVENTS Chronoportals have opened in multiple locations across Norrath! They are said to lead to an ancient time. These phenomena are being researched by Chronomancers who will reward adventurers brave enough to venture inside. Event Start Times: US Servers: 10 AM PST International Servers: 9PM PST Known issues (to be fixed on 3/24): Allizewsaur does not have his sounds fully implemented. Quillmane has a stutter in its wings when it is descending. ITEMS Mount whistles with a limited number of charges will no longer remove the mount buff when the last charge is consumed. The U.K. servers will have their hotfix at 5am London Time on Friday, March 25, 2011. Estimated downtime is 2 hours. The full patch notes are available after the hop. GENERAL Fixed a client crash issue. Fixed a bug where some auction channel messages would not be passed through the spam filter. Fixed a bug that allowed NO-TRADE currencies to be put into the shared bank. Fixed a bug with linking items in chat. EverQuest II takes part in the celebration of 12 years of EverQuest with the Chronoportals live event. Ancient portals take players back in time to battle creatures of a distant past. Several of these encounters have memorable dialogues that any former EverQuest player can appreciate. Whether you're looking for the chronoportal that Quillmane dwells within or need some help defeating the Nagafen's Lair encounter, our Chronoportals guide has it all. The event will run until 10am PDT on March 30, 2011.

On March 11, 2011 a devastating earthquake, followed by a tsunami, hit Japan. The country is in desparate need of help and EverQuest II is encouraging players to do their part. Earlier today a new section was introduced to the Marketplace dedicated to the Japan relief effort. A single item called Memory of Spring is listed in it, costing 500 Station Cash, with a description explaining that funds from its sale will be donated to the cause. To purchase this item, go into the Marketplace in game (by using the /marketplace command or the EQII game menu) and choose the"Japan Relief Effort"category. The item is not lore so you can purchase multiples if you are so inclined. It is currently unknown how long the donation section will be available for--we'll update you as more details are released.

ZONE PROGRESSION / POPULATION Hold of Rime: The Fortress Spire During the Agna Icespear encounter“Icy Spear” should no longer be able to be interrupted. When Abelbrow the Bookie is defeated he should pay his debts for the wager placed on the barracks challenge. Tower of Frozen Shadow (Raid) During the VhalSera encounter“Icy Concussion” should no longer hit for quite as hard. During the VhalSera encounter the damage immunity should always be removed when he begins his last phase.
