Sony Online Entertainment will perform maintenance beginning at :00 AM Pacific on April 9, 2013. This maintenance is expected to take approximately four hours. This will impact the following services: Account management will be unavailable starting at 4:00 AM to approximately 8:00 AM PDT. Commerce transactions, including purchases on SOE websites and in-game marketplaces will be unavailable between 4:00 AM to approximately 8:00 AM PDT. Logins for all SOE forums may be affected, you may lose permissions and experience occasional disconnects between 4:00 AM to approximately 8:00 AM PDT.. Players who are already logged in may be disconnected and unable to log back in starting at 4:00 AM to approximately 8:00 AM PDT. Logins for all SOE games may be affected during the maintenance. EverQuest II fans are in for a treat! Back in March, Sony Online Entertainment announced their upcoming Game Update ," Scars of the Awakened ", would be coming to live servers on April 30th. Beta servers for the new update however, are now in full effect for players who are eager to go and test out some of what it has to offer. For those who may not have been following the EQII news closely, Scars of the Awakened will offer a plethora of new content that spans a new explorable zone called"Cobalt Scar". This update also takes you deeper into the zone known as"Velious". Players will battle the"Awakened Legion"in hopes of ending its march of destruction, as they uncover the mysteries and secrets within these areas that could threaten the fate of the world. Included in this update will be a new dungeon, Sirens Grotto, that offers solo, heroic and raid challenges. The US EQ2 Servers will come down on Thursday, April 4, at 7:00 am Pacific Time for an update. The expected downtime for US servers is one hour. EU servers will come down at 9:00 pm PDT; the expected downtime for EU servers is 2 hours. Here's the patch note. Yes, I said"note." Bristlebane Day returns on Friday, March 29, and will run through Thursday, April 11. This year's new quest is the Bristlebane Bounce contest; several new achievements are also available. Ready your sombre face and prepare to make some new Perfectly Serious Items to Craft . On Monday, April 1, things really crank up with Jester's superior gardens in Enchanted Lands giving harvestables from all holidays. Frostfell crafting stations will also pop up in Enchanted Lands on this day. The Qeynos City Festival Has Begun! [EverQuest II]

April has arrived and with it the Qeynos City Festival has returned to Norrath! The festival will run until April 7th at 11:59pm PST and can be found near the bridge to North Qeynos in Antonica. Visit the Far Seas caravan merchants to see all of the local specialities and other festival goods . An Aether Race will also be available in Antonica during the festival. Participate and achieve a time of 134 seconds or less to earn the Bridge Buzzer prefix title! Begin the race by speaking to the referee near the Coldwind Point Lighthouse.

The Highest of Silly Days - April 1st Only! [EverQuest II]

Today is April Fools Day, marking the Highest of Silly Days for the Bristlebane Day celebration. Two quests are only available on this day, both given by the sphinx Imenand just off the dock in the Enchanted Lands. Test your brain by trying to solve his many riddles and take a gamble at your choice of house pet rewards. Players can also harvest from the Jester's Superior Gardens on this day, which are found in Enchanted Lands. These gardens give harvests from every holiday event that has crafting, so be sure you have a lot of backpack space to spare! Those wanting to sneak in some mid-year Frostfell crafting can do so as well. Check the Marketplace for some Bristlebane Day promotional items, which should include a one-day only offer of a pink colored Bovoch mount today. The Highest of Silly Days runs until 11:59pm PDT on April 1st.

EU servers will come down at 9:00 pm PDT; the expected downtime for EU servers is 2 hours. The patch notes are below. Game Update 66 Beta testing also starts Tuesday . The'Beta Copy'button is not currently available; it should be up post-patch on Tuesday. See you on Beta server ! GENERAL Fixed a bug where expired missions were not being removed correctly. ITEMS Nocturnal Aggression and Nox Incessit can no longer apply multiple times from the same caster.
