Tooltips! New tooltips for all! We've just released a major tooltip update for our database tooltips! ZAM tooltips should now load more quickly, attach to the mouse more smoothly, attach to icons where appropriate, and should reposition themselves when near the edge of the screen. There are also new options for users adding our tooltips to their site , including the ability to add coloring or icons to links, or even rename their links. The City Festival Has Begun! [EverQuest II]

Today is the beginning of April, bringing us the Qeynos City Festival ! The festival will run until April 7th at 11:59pm PDT. You can find the Far Seas Caravan in Antonica just beyond the bridge to North Qeynos. The festival features new building blocks on the specialty merchant. They cost two City Tokens each and come in a wide variety. Visit the Far Seas caravan merchants to see all of the local specialities and other festival goods . An Aether Race will also be available in Antonica during the festival. Participate and achieve a time of 134 seconds or less to earn the Bridge Buzzer prefix title! Begin the race by speaking to the referee near the Coldwind Point Lighthouse.

The Highest of Silly Days - April 1st Only! [EverQuest II]

Today is April Fools Day, marking the Highest of Silly Days for the Bristlebane Day celebration. Two quests are only available on this day, both given by the sphinx Imenand in Enchanted Lands. Test your brain by trying to solve his many riddles and take a gamble at your choice of rewards. Players can also harvest from the Jester's Superior Gardens on this day, which can be found in Enchanted Lands only. These gardens give harvests from every holiday event that has crafting, so be sure you have a lot of spare backpack space! Those wanting to sneak in some mid-year Frostfell crafting can do so as well. Check the Marketplace for some Bristlebane Day promotional items which include a glider mount and a jester's costume. The Highest of Silly Days runs until 11:59pm PDT on April 1st.

No official downtime has been announced yet but the patch notes for April 3rd have been posted. GENERAL All single group instances now have a lockout of 90 minutes. Fixed a bug where lingering dot effects from dead and looted NPCs could start critting. PLAYER HOUSING Marketplace housing deeds will now include the maximum number of placed items, prior to using house expanders, in the description. Increased item limit for Researcher’s Sanctum to 600. ITEMS Drunder x4 priest breastplates (non-Challenge mode) can now proc Celestial Restoration III. Source: EQII Forums

The anticipated announcement of SOE's Fan Faire dates have finally arrived, along with a surprising name change: Fan Faire is now renamed to SOE Live . In Linda"Brasse"Carlson's blog post today, she stated that they wanted a new name to"reflect the bigger picture, to make it inclusive of the many worlds SOE offers." SOE Live 2012 will be held from October 18 - 21 at Bally's Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Rooms can already be booked at Bally's now for $80 per night on the 17th and 18th and $130 per night on the 19th and 20th. Registration for the event has not opened yet. Bristlebane Day starts tomorrow, March 27th, and runs through April 9th. (Yes, it will have a one-day crossover with the Chronoportals anniversary event.) There's a a new Snack Catcher game to play, a new recipe book, and new rewards! On April 1st things really crank up with Jester's superior gardens in Enchanted lands giving harvestables from all holidays. Frostfell crafting stations will also pop up in Enchanted Lands on April 1. There are two quests offered exclusively on April Fool's Day, so you'd best like riddles if you want to add to your dice collection! Read all about it in our Bristlebane Day Guide !
