Players Find Themselves Stuck in Guild Halls [EverQuest II]

Over the weekend players have had some bad luck with guild halls, which appear to be randomly shutting themselves down and making characters camped inside of them inaccessible. The dev team has brought halls back up several times but this is only a temporary fix. It will hopefully be addressed in the next hotfix, slated for Tuesday, August 30th. In the meantime, if you have any characters stuck in a guild hall, submit a petition under the stuck player category . This can be done via the /petition command in-game or through the SOE support web site (click"View my service history"on the right). The GMs have been moving players out all weekend with an amazing response rate. After your characters are moved out of guild hall do not attempt to re-enter it until a fix is in .

All U.S. servers will come down for a hotfix at 7am PDT on Tuesday, August 30, 2011. The expected downtime is one hour. EU servers will have their hotfix at 5am BST on Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Estimated downtime is 2 hours. The full patch notes are available after the jump. GENERAL Fixed an issue with Guild Halls. Fixed an issue causing the streaming client to use old assets. Fixed an issue which could cause the streaming client to crash on startup. Fixed a disconnect bug where some characters would get dropped to character select upon login. Players will now be prompted for a one-time, free item unattuning: If you answer yes, all items will be immediately unattuned. Any equipped items will be popped into overflow. The City Festival Starts Tonight! [EverQuest II]

Tomorrow is the beginning of September, bringing us the Neriak City Festival ! The festival should start on September 1st at 12:01am PDT and run until September 7th at 11:59pm PDT. You can find the Far Seas Caravan in Darklight Wood outside of Neriak. The festival's newest wares were introduced early due to all city festivals being activated in May. You can pick up three newer Neriak themed house items: Blue Marble Pedestal Table , Winged Blue Streetlamp and Winged Purple Streetlamp . Visit the Far Seas caravan merchants to see all of the local specialties and other festival goods. The Far Seas Trading Company has caught wind of the popularity of the Aether Races and have arranged for each city festival to have one of its own! As part of the Back to School Bonanza players will enjoy double experience and double Station Cash all weekend. Both events begin at 12:01am PDT on Friday, September 2nd and will run through 11:59pm PDT on Monday, September 5th. The double experience will effect Adventuring, Tradeskilling and Alternate Advancement experience. The double Station Cash is for all types of Station Cash purchases excluding SMS transactions.

All servers will come down at 7am PDT (3pm BST/4pm CET) for the War of Zek ( Game Update 61 ) patch. The servers will be down for at least 3 hours. Here is some important information on what to expect from this update: All Alternate Advancement points (AAs) will be reset. All equipment, food and drink, ammunition, etc, will be unequipped and placed into overflow. Adornments will be removed from worn equipment (excluding worn appearance slot items). These will be placed into your overflow. All item unlocks will be preserved. (Extended Only) Any attuned equipment in your inventory, bank or house vault will become unattuned. GU61 Hits Live Servers; New Problems Emerge [EverQuest II]

All servers are back online after the Game Update 61 patch. This update introduced a massive item overhaul and changes to the Alternate Advancement system, some of which has caused issues now that it has gone live. Here are some known issues: AAs are not reset. Zoning once will fix this. AAs reset themselves after leveling. No user-side fix for this AAs reset after reassigned if you zone. Zoning at least once before reassigning them should prevent this. AAs are resetting for some people upon logout. No user-side fix for this. Items that may have previously had stats beneficial to your class no longer do. The best thing to do for this is to /bug report the item and explain which stat is missing from it. Double check any unattuned item before re-equipping it! Items may be assigned to the wrong slot. These are few and far between, but /bug report them as you come across them.
